Audits & compliance
A discerning approach to personalised items
Since Inovacomm was founded, our ambition has been to offer a different approach to personalised items. Our aim has never been to flood the market with superfluous products, but to design useful, relevant and meaningful items capable of representing our clients’ brand image in the long term.
Audited factories and committed partners
The selection of our production partners is a central part of our approach. We work with factories that are part of recognised international audit programmes, guaranteeing high standards in terms of working conditions, social responsibility and environmental management.
In particular, we collaborate with partners committed to the amfori BSCI, Sedex SMETA 4P and ISO standards, three of the most widely used standards in the assessment of international supply chains.
Amfori BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) is an international initiative aimed at improving working conditions within global supply chains. It is based on a common code of conduct that sets out several fundamental principles, including respect for human rights, the prohibition of forced labour and child labour, the guarantee of safe and decent working conditions, fair remuneration and environmental protection.
Sedex SMETA 4P, meanwhile, is one of the world’s most widely used audit systems for assessing the responsible practices of companies and their suppliers. This framework is based on four main pillars: labour standards, worker health and safety, business ethics, and environmental management.
ISO international standards, which are recognised benchmarks for ensuring the quality of management systems and industrial processes. These standards set out specific requirements for management, traceability, risk control and continuous improvement. They help to enhance the reliability of production and ensure compliance with high standards throughout the supply chain.
By working with partners audited against these standards, we aim to ensure a transparent, ethical and responsible supply chain.
Compliance and adherence to international standards
Beyond social audits, we pay particular attention to the regulatory compliance of the products we develop. All items designed by Inovacomm must meet the legal requirements applicable in Switzerland, Europe and on international markets.
To ensure this compliance, we regularly carry out tests at independent laboratories, in particular to verify the composition of materials and the safety of products.
Several standards and regulations underpin this approach:
REACH: The European REACH Regulation (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) aims to protect human health and the environment from risks associated with chemical substances. It regulates the use of numerous substances and imposes strict control requirements.
California Proposition 65: This US regulation requires the identification and restriction of chemical substances that may pose risks to health or the environment.
EN71: The European standard EN71 concerns the safety of products classified as toys and defines various levels of requirements to ensure the safety of users, particularly children.
Food Contact Materials (FCM) / Food Grade:
For items intended to come into contact with food (water bottles, containers, kitchen accessories, etc.), we apply enhanced compliance requirements. The materials used comply with European Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 on materials in contact with food, ensuring that they pose no health risks and do not alter the composition or properties of the food.
Depending on the project, we may also rely on recognised standards such as the LFGB (Lebensmittel- und Futtermittelgesetzbuch), which is particularly stringent, as well as migration tests carried out by independent laboratories and supplier declarations of conformity (DoC).
A commitment to continuous improvement
Maintaining control over the production chain remains an ongoing challenge. We are therefore continuing to develop our network of partners in order to enhance transparency, traceability and control at every stage of manufacturing.
This approach enables us, in particular, to improve the traceability of certain components, such as accessories, labels or packaging, and to promote the use of recycled materials sourced from dedicated supply chains.
Our objective is clear: to continuously improve our control protocols and guarantee bespoke products that meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability and responsibility.
