Labels & certifications
Our aim is to design products using increasingly sustainable materials. However, using these materials without solid guarantees would go against our commitments. That is why we rely on recognised labels and certifications, which enable us to verify the origin, composition and production conditions of the materials used.
These standards provide an essential framework for producing bespoke products that comply with current environmental and social standards. They also ensure vital transparency regarding the origin of materials and the practices implemented throughout the supply chain.
Among the certifications we prioritise is the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), an international standard that guarantees the traceability of recycled materials and regulates social, environmental and chemical practices within the production chain. To obtain this certification, a product must contain at least 50% recycled fibres and undergo regular inspections.
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), meanwhile, is one of the most comprehensive certifications for organic textiles. It takes into account environmental, health and social aspects and requires that all parties involved in the production chain adhere to strict criteria.
In the textile sector, OEKO-TEX® certifications guarantee that materials are free from substances harmful to health and the environment, thanks to rigorous testing based on regularly updated criteria.
We also use the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS), which verifies the presence and quantity of recycled materials in a product whilst ensuring their traceability throughout the supply chain. This certification provides independent and transparent verification of a product’s recycled content.
For specific materials, other standards complement this approach. The Leather Working Group (LWG) label guarantees that tanneries comply with strict standards regarding water management, energy consumption, waste treatment and working conditions. At Inovacomm, we work exclusively with LWG Gold-certified tanneries, the most stringent level.
Finally, for paper products and packaging, we prioritise FSC (Forest Stewardship Council)-certified materials, which certify that the wood fibres come from forests managed in an environmentally, socially and economically responsible manner.
To ensure the traceability of the recycled or organic materials used in our production, we also require a Transaction Certificate (TC Shipment). This document confirms that certified materials, such as those labelled GRS, GOTS or RCS, have been properly tracked and monitored throughout the supply chain. Without this transaction certificate, the authenticity of the certification cannot be confirmed. The TC Shipment is therefore a key element in ensuring the credibility and transparency of the certified materials used in our products.
