Stone paper

Stone paper

Stone paper is an innovative material which, due to its properties, can replace traditional paper and even plastic as an environmentally friendly alternative for many applications. Stone paper is a sustainably produced substitute product.

It is a type of paper made from 80% calcium carbonate (limestone) and 20% plastic binder (usually HDPE). The initial material used is limestone from existing quarries, which is ground into a fine powder. Due to its composition, stone paper is water-repellent, grease-resistant and washable.

Finally, stone paper is naturally white and therefore does not require any additional bleaching processes (unlike traditional paper, which is bleached with chlorine).
