Compostable

A compostable product is also biodegradable. It is usually a product for which an industrial unit helps move along the decomposition. This takes place at temperatures between 70 and 80°C, with a humidity level of around 70% and an oxygen level of around 20%. After several weeks of (bio)degradation, a product, compost, is obtained, which can be used to improve soil fertility. Note that in home composters, degradation is generally slower as conditions, especially temperature and humidity, vary depending on the weather.
