Phthalates are considered toxic for reproduction (DEHP and DBP are the most dangerous). Phthalates, or di-iso-decyl-phthalate (DIDP) and di-iso-nonyl phthalate (DINP), are two very similar substances that are mainly used as additives in plastics to make them more flexible. DEHP is mainly used in PVC as well as in other plastics.
