Trend : Slow consuming

As the mindset of customers and end consumers shifts toward more sustainable and essential options, brands are changing direction to reverse hyper-consumerism and offer more fundamental product lines that serve consumers longer and more effectively.

Some brands have intentionally decided not to launch any new products in 2021 to move away from the relentless flood of products that overload the market, while other companies are focusing on developing sustainable essentials that are part of the “slow consuming” movement.

Brands are also fighting hyper-consumption by refusing to participate in shopping traditions such as monthly promotions or Black Friday. Leading brands such as Deciem, active in the (controversial?) field of beauty and cosmetics, are boycotting Black Friday by sharing daily educational content on how hyper-consumption is harming the planet, encouraging consumers to “buy slowly” and to reflect on their consumption patterns as a whole.

This return to basics and awareness that has been emerging for some time now has been part of Inovacomm’s DNA since its inception in 2006. We are driven by a genuine philosophy of sustainability and responsibility in relation to our activities.

Far from being perfect, we have always been committed to improving, expanding our knowledge, and producing better and smarter, while limiting the impact of our activities on the environment and people. We are increasingly seeking out and using materials made from reclaimed waste or recyclable materials and/or sourced from responsible organic farming.

We have streamlined our network of factories to limit the number of miles and transport required for each accessory or material needed to produce an item by refining our manufacturing processes and purchasing as many components as possible ourselves.

In addition, we help our partners by contributing to the costs of their improvements so that they can get involved and feel supported in this process. We also streamline our transportation by shipping goods using the least polluting modes of transport, such as trains or ships.

Finally, all our products undergo toxicological testing to ensure they comply with current international health and safety legislation. We work closely with an independent body that carries out all our quality controls, ensuring the compliance and quality of the products we manufacture.

We are clearly committed to responsible production and undeniably to the new societal requirements for transparency and rationalization of our social and environmental impact. To find out more, please consult our CSR policy.
