EPS

The encapsulated post script (EPS) format is an open format created by Adobe Systems in the PostScript language to describe images consisting of vector and/or bitmap objects. In professional settings, the EPS format was widely used because it retains all vector qualities. Today, the PDF format is preferred, as it is more versatile and does not require the use of paid software to view its content. This format is primarily used by Illustrator, although the entire Adobe suite does support it.
