Trend: Slow consuming

As the mindset of customers and end consumers slides towards more sustainable and truly necessary options, brands are shifting their focus to reverse hyper-consumerism and deliver more essential product lines that serve consumers longer and more efficiently.

Some brands have intentionally decided not to launch any new products in 2021 to move away from the relentless flow of products overloading the market, while other companies are focused on developing sustainable essentials that are part of the slow-consuming movement.

Brands are also fighting against hyper-consumption by refusing to participate in shopping traditions such as monthly sales or Black Friday. Leading brands such as Deciem, operating in the (controversial?) beauty and cosmetics industry, are boycotting Black Friday and sharing daily educational content about how hyper-consumption is harming the planet, encouraging consumers to “buy slowly” and to reflect on their overall consumption patterns.

This way of going back to our roots and the awareness that has been growing for some time was included in the core values of Inovacomm at its beginnings in 2006. We are driven by a true philosophy of sustainability and responsibility in relation to our business.

Although we are far from being perfect, we have always strived to improve, to increase our knowledge and to produce ever better and smarter, by limiting the impact of our activities on the environment and people. We are increasingly looking for and using materials from recycled waste or recyclable materials and/or from responsible, organic crops.

We streamline our network of factories to reduce the mileage and transport needed for each component or piece required to produce an item, by refining our manufacturing process and buying as many components as possible ourselves.

In addition, we help our partners by contributing to the costs associated with their improvement so that they get on board and feel supported in this approach. We also streamline our shipping by transporting goods using the least polluting means of transport, such as rail or ships.

Finally, all our products are subject to toxicology studies in order to ensure health safety in relation to the international legislation in force. We work closely with an independent body that carries out all our quality controls, ensuring the compliance and quality of the products produced.

We are firmly and undeniably committed to responsible production and the new societal requirements of transparency for a reasonable social and environmental impact. To find out more, please consult our CSR policy.
